As soon as you submit the application you will be redirected to the appointment page where you can reserve a time to visit the shelter and adopt.  Same day adoptions are available.

Guinea Pigs are social creatures that thrive in the company of other pigs. Because of this we do not re home single guinea pigs unless the animal is to be a companion for the guinea pig (s) you already have. So please count on adopting at least a pair or trio of guinea pigs. We only adopt out same sex pairs or neutered male/female pairs.

ADOPTION FEES

• $35 for one single guinea pig $50 for a same sex pair $60 for a same sex trio $85 for a trio that contains a neutered boar.
• Neutered males have an adoption fee of  $50 and  $75 for a neutered  male/ female pair.

• Thoroughbed Pine shavings – $15 for a giant bag

NOTE ABOUT BABY ADOPTIONS - baby guinea pigs (8 weeks and younger only) are 1 per family and must either  be adopted with a same sex or neutered guinea pig that is older than 8 weeks or as a buddy for an existing guinea pig.

CAGES – The typical pet store cages are not ok for guinea pigs – even the XL versions.  For this reason we (and every other guinea pig rescue)  do not allow adoptions unless an approved cage will be used to house the animals. If you have a problem with this we suggest you look into adopting a different animal altogether, preferably one that will not be restricted to a cage or is happy with a smaller living arrangement like a hamster. It is our job to make sure the pigs will live in an appropriate cage that will keep them healthy and happy. Guinea pigs need specific cages. So do not buy a cage yet till you have read the cage requirements we have. We sell 2 types of cages.

***NEUTERED*** Mineymo is little sweetheart! He can live with any of the ladies. He is 5 months old.

Roberto was rescued from the Agoura shelter and is a gentle boy. He is 9 months old.

Perry was living "wild" with his family in a filthy backyard in Van Nuys. All of them suffered from skin conditions and neglect issues. He is all better now and ready for his new home! He is 6 months old.

Cashew is a healthy strapping lad. He is not 1 yr old yet.

Chuchi is a sweet boy. He is 2 yrs old and recently lost his brother. Will you give him a home?

Trish is 2.5 months old and was rescued with her whole family from the Augoura shelter. She is the friendliest little thing.

Minkey is 2 years old and she is such a pretty girl.

Sable is a super pretty 2 year old lady.

Calico has a wonderful color pattern. What a sweetie pie. She is 2yrs.

Filipe and Eduardo are young brothers and so adorable. We found them in the Carson shelter. They are 3.5 years old.

Ergo is so pretty. He is about 9 months old.

Little love a 4 month old cutie! He is so sweet.

Franca has a lovely shiny coat - she is precious! 2 yrs old.

Macho Man is truly a giant pig. He is a "Cuy" and unlike most Cuy he likes to be petted! He is around 1 yr old.

Topher was rescued from the West Valley shelter. He is a very pretty Satin X. Born April 2013

West is sweet young adult. He was born June last year.

Miss Henrietta is a real lady and she is 3 yrs old.

Ramble is a young boy. Approximately 3 months old.

Bradshaw is 2 years old and a really sweet boy.

Crawford is a super handsome 2 yr old. What a looker he is!

Winona came with her whole family after they were dumped in the shelter were they were facing an uncertain fate. She is 2.5 months old and very friendly.

Hansen is a handsome boy who is 2 yrs old.

Runkel is a very special kid! We love him - he is about 2.5 yrs old.

Magdalena was born December 2011. She had bad skin issues when she arrived here but now her coat is shiny and she is healthy!

Tina is a little baby girl who is 2.5 months old. Rescued with a horrible skin condition from the Agoura shelter,

Winnie is a BIG girl. She is a cuy who is 3 yrs old. She needs a loving and patient home and can be placed as a single pig. (ALL other pigs need to be placed as pairs - Winnie is an exception)

NOT A GUINEA PIG BUT RESCUED BY US NEVERTHELESS Charlie is a 13 year old dark bay Thoroughbred mare that we rescued of the auction lot. She is a big girl standing at 16.2 Charlie has put on a lot of weight already since we got her and is still gaining weight every week .She is current on her vaccinations, was recently shod and had her teeth floated . 100% sound. Vet has given her a clean bill of health. Records available on request. She trailers perfectly fine and stands for the farrier. She has a tattoo which would indicate that she raced at some point in her life but you would never know this – she is not a typical Thoroughbred at all.
